Task 3

The company Dotcom needs a documentation platform to document its projects. The management has decided that they want to use a wiki technology. The wiki should be PHP-based, as Dotcom itself uses PHP for many of its projects. The platform code should be open source. Users should be able to authenticate themselves with their AD account. A Debian Linux stable will be used as the server platform.

Step 1: Evaluation of the wiki platform

Search for a suitable wiki platform by comparing at least three possible candidates (e.g. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wiki_software). To justify your choice, you can use the following document as a guide: https://wiki.rafisa.net/doku.php?id=de:ausbildung:evaluation

Step 2: Setting up a minimal Debian system

Set up a VM with a minimal Debian Linux (old)stable with the following parameters:

Server base settings

Virtual HW:
2GB RAM
Partition: 30GB
OS: Debian 11 or 12
Hostname: WIKI-ZH-01
IP address: 10.0.2.35/24

Step 3: Installing and configuring the wiki platform

Install the selected wiki platform and set up the AD authentication.
