1. Kurzfassung

Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) Installations Anleitung.

2. Installation via GUI

Die WSUS Installation kann auch via Powershell ausgeführt werden. Hier ist Einfachheit halber nur die GUI Installation (Printscreen) aufgeführt.

Powershell: Install-WindowsFeature UpdateServices

2.4 WSUS Performance Settings

Some recommended perf settings. Shoud help with performance in general and prevents some MMC Snap-in crashes.

2.5 Install SQL Management Studio

SQL Management tool for Windows Internal Database (WID). Used to rund DB reindex script.

3.0 Customization / Maintenace

Task Name	Description
WSUS_Maintenance_Clear_Sync_History	Deletes all synchronization logs
WSUS_Maintenance_Reindex_DB	Reindex WSUS DB, should help with WSUS performance in the long run.
WSUS_ServerCleanup	Runs WSUS Server Cleanup with all options
